Here is a recipe to make your own blue crystal candy, perfect for a Breaking Bad party or snacks while watching the show. Of course, you can make the candy any color, flavor it, or even make it glow under a black light. Blue Crystal Ingredients You only need a few common cooking ingredients for this project: 3-3/4 cups sugar1-1/4 cups light corn syrup1 cup waterblue food coloring (or whatever color you like)1/2 to 1 teaspoon flavoring, such as vanilla, lemon, or cherry flavoring What To Do If you have a candy thermometer, be sure to use it. Otherwise, watch carefully for any darkening or browning of the sugar, which indicates youre getting the mixture too hot. Grease a cookie sheet. You can use butter, shortening, or non-stick spray.Stir the sugar, corn syrup, and water together in a pan over medium heat.Bring the mixture to a boil and continue boiling for 3 minutes.Stir in food coloring and flavoring, if desired.This is the part where the candy thermometer comes in handy. Increase the temperature to 300 F. The goal is to melt the sugar and harden the candy, but not carmelize (brown) it. Universal Studios Personal Narrative - 1286 Words
It was Christmas of 2009 and my family and I had just arrived at Universal Studios of Hollywood. My sister slowly pulled up into the long uphill line of cars, all waiting to finally be let into the car park by the toll booth. It was a fairly lengthy wait that lasted around forty minutes but we didnââ¬â¢t mind as we were all very excited for the aftermath and knowing it was well worth it kept our patience strong. Eventually our turn came and after a brief talk and transaction with the man in the toll booth we finally were allowed into the multi-story car park. Now the challenge was to find an empty parking space on that busy Christmas morning. After search floor after floor for an empty space we managed to find an almost completely empty row onâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦It was three hour wait, three hours we couldââ¬â¢ve spent doing something else. But all was good because this is the Theme Parkââ¬â¢s iconic ride that you just HAVE to take if you go there. When we got on there was a lot of relief and I think the ride was worth it, though if I had visited this park again I would definitely not wait in line for it again. When we got in the tour bus and we departed I first though ââ¬Å"Oh this is going to be boringâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ but I was pleasantly mistaken! They took us to the sets of many of their films and TV shows such as Jaws, Psycho, Desperate housewives and more. Of late the retail industry in Singapore has shown several changes in a slower pace; however the technological advancements should be taken more seriously so that it can attract more customers within the globalization era. Varley (2014) also states that the ecommerce market in the country is expected to rise to US $5.4 billion. Therefore, it should also be noted that during this period the expectations of the consumers will also tend to vary and change in a drastic way in next few years. The following changes will be required for immediate change within the retail industry which may impact the organizational operations in NTUC FairPrice. Embracing the E-commerce The penetration of e-commerce within the Singapore retail industry has started few years back. This change has impacted the entire business sector to a great extent. Therefore the local businesses such as NTUC FairPrice, will have to emphasize more on having an omni-channeled approach which will incorporate the e-commerce technology. There are several organizations within the retail industry that have started coming up with the e-commerce sites. The tendency of shopping from the e-shops is also increasing, therefore in order to meet such requirements of the customers; the e-shops should also be created in a way that can fill up the gaps in the customer requirements across all possible channels (Hughe Wearing, 2016). The global companies coming in Singapore have already started offering an omni channeled business model, therefore in order to fight with such competitions, it is very accounting required to start adapting the e-commerce in the retail business. Online business and cloud technology The market for paying through mobiles in Singapore has already shown a steady growth. Identification of three areas of change required in the workplace Employee training The training and development of the employees are very much necessary within the changed environment in the business. If NTUC FairPrice is going to set up an online business by reinforcing the e-commerce system, training will be very much required for increasing the success rate of the change management procedure. Worle Mohrman (2014) has indicated that most of the chain management failures have been observed due to the negative attitude of the employees which led to idle management behavior. Therefore, all the employees within the organization should come on board with the change. The organization should also provide training for e-learning within the change management procedure. The training will increase maintaining the visibility of the working procedures of the company to the employees. Formulating of In-house IT team within organization Creating an online website and increasing the payment options for the customers will require a technological team in the organization.
